Hopefully a photo is attached
In preparation for fitting a shower and having it tiled
I have removed the tiles in an en-suite shower room in readiness to have the wall that adjoins the bedroom plaster boarded and skimmed, this being because on our estate there has always been a tendency for the plaster to come away from the celcon blocks which would not be a good base for tiles.
However I have come across a bit more of a problem, the corner celcon bricks have not only split away from the plaster in the bedroom but the mortar that holds them together has also split away which means that I have been able to remove them.
Is there some form of adhesive that I can coat the plaster with that will give some adhesion to the blocks before I re-mortar them

Hi D,

How old is the development? Who built it? Is it covered by NHBC, Zurich etc.? Seems wrong to me.
