 Post subject: looking for a new laptop

im looking for a new laptop and i havent got a clue about the spec side of pc's, so could some please have give these two the once over and tell me if they are any good, all i need it for is doing my books and quote and the internet.
ive got the price range of up to £300

both will do just fine - buy one quick before the geeks start debating OS issues, GPU throughput and multi-tasking capabilities

The Staples price looks to be EXCLUDING VAT

Loved the Asda bit about delivery:

Free delivery on orders over £25 when collecting in store (selected stores only) :dunno: :dunno:

Go for either. for what you want a laptop for.

I bought a new laptop from tesco 3mnths ago
Acer Aspire 5532,
Amd athlon 64 processor,
3gig memory
250gig HDD all singin all dancin £329
Well Impressed so far. :cheers:

Feva...those E-machine lappys are cr@p build quality...have a look at this Toshiba..good build quality, 2 year g'tee..£320

to be honest, if you can sit on your itchy fingers, wait until the new year - all tech companies bring out their new gear then and the old stuff ends up in the sales - you can grab a right bargain then
