I'm looking for a product that ideally can be secured to a board and accepts a line or cord
and puts tension on that line or cord.

So instance you have a cord/line attached to something above the ground/floor/table and you want to secure that cord/line to the ground/floor/table and then put tension on that cord/line.

You can buy something like a tent guyline tensioner but that tensioner is attached/secured to the line and not the ground.

Does anything like this exist?

Working in Transport, I'm thinking, Ratchet Straps. The sort of thing that holds loads on lorries, or doesn't. :-)

Here

Just be aware that there are two types. Restraining Straps, & Ratchet Straps which will provide a 'pulling force', as opposed to simply 'restraining' what's already there.
