hello - i have two separate lights in my living room - they are both controlled from one 2 gang one way dimmer.
one of the lights has stopped working (i heard a short fizzing noise as it went) - the other light works perfectly.
the light in the hallway next to that room has also stopped working.
every other light in the house is working fine....
i've tried replacing the bulbs and replacing the fitting the bulb is attached to
i have also had a look behind the dimmer switch but everything looks ok
i was wondering what else this could be?
quite confused....
thanks in advance

if another light has stopped working as well i would suggest a wire was badly connected in the actual ceiling rose not the light switches. unless you heard the fizzling noise form the switch i would check the ceiling roses 1st.
turn the power off before you unscrew the fitting, if there is a broken wire it won't hurt you then. |
