beware of those clamps, i have found most of the clamps like that not very strong. i crush them to grip as tight as i can but usually end up removing them and using a G-clamp. they are fine for gauge clamping for speed before putting on a strong clamp but other than that, not much use at all.

yes fully agree about the clamps
they are cast metal off some sort and iff you have a very strong grip or try and use 2 hands they will break at the lever

but having said that you can clamp very very firmly with them

i have 7 proper record "G" clamps from 6 to 12"
i also have 4 origional b&d 6" and 4x4" solo clamps and 3 silverline 6" all steel clamps like the solos
and not forgetting well over a dozen lidle clamps

in order off use exluding the record clamps are the solo clamps then the lidle clamps then the silverline as the quality is ok but poorer than the lidle

and before you ask i often use all 26 mastic clamps at the same time so am looking to but another 4 at lidles on friday

all you need is 2 frames requiring 4 clamps each and say a 5ft off boards to be glued together with cross battons to hold it flat requiring another 12 clamps
and soon you run out off clamps

Bought mine :thumbright: The clamps are bloody good. Pair of clamps in each bag for £2.50. Well made and worth having a few for the times you need extra clamps. I also got a pop riveter set for £4....top value. I actually have a job to do that needs rivets so it is a right bonus.
