ok that sounds good so 40 to 45w equivillent maybe ??
if you are new to leds the colour[silver sheen/yellow sheen /white sheen]can be overpowering
also the light tends to be more focused[less defused] so can look bright but not quite the coverage

I would guess equivillent to 40-50 ish yes. They are great as downligths but as you say, on a spotligth lamp they still got abit to go.

They are bloody brilliant!!!!!! Im superimpressed. Not near my first LED bulbs wich was a beam of ligth and a buzzz sound.
Highly recomended!

Not often i quote myself, but had to change a lamp for in-law and went to Homebase. The bulbs come also as 5 w now.

Very good price to be retail.

I would suggest you to go for LEDs. They are more power saving and less emitter of radiations

Thread revival time...
Anyone got any recent recommendations for GU10 LED's
I bought a load from LedHut in the past, but am more than happy to look elsewhere having had a rather less-than-helpful conversation with their customer service guy who couldn't be bothered to sort out a replacement on a bulb that had failed.
Just had a second one (Lumilife 6 Cob) go, well within its 2 year warranty so will be in touch with them again but would prefer to order for my new lights from elsewhere...
