I usually use closure plate tape but duck tape would do, run a length along the tray covering the joint between the tray and wall then try your water test :wink:

the point i was making was the water was entering the frame and following a path accross the tray between tray and wall completly channeld in behind silicon invisible untill it apears underneath

What is 'closure plate tape'?


A type of gaffa tape python, used for sealing the plate to the wall behind fires.

Although looking at that closure plate tape might pull the tiles off it's strong stuff :lol:

Duck or gaffa tape would do fine it's just a matter of eliminating things 'til you get the answer.
