Hi -
Not sure if this is really metalworking, or decorating, but...
I'm wanting to cover a garden dining table with lead, or something similar.
Is Lead Flashing what I'm after - and if so what is the widest it can be purchased?
Or can/should I purchase sheet lead?
Tried Googling lead, table covering etc but just get periodical tables!
Thanks
Martin

You can buy lead sheet upto 6m square.

As for covering a table, it is not a good plan as lead is poisonous, and must not be ingested.

What are wishing to achieve.

If you can lift it, it's Zinc, if you can't it's lead.

Lead is very soft and would mark easily so unlikely.

Zinc or more likely copper depending on the quality.

That table top is zinc. Zinc gains a patina over time oudoors but this can be uneven. You can buy zinc sheets pre-weathered, which will give you an even finish.

I don't think lead would make a good table top. As others say, it's too soft. Copper would look great, develops a green patina but is very expensive ~£500 a square meter.

Thought £500 was a bit steep...£150 for 18g according to this lot.

Still not cheap mind...
