Its a 150, so will run from a 13 amp supply relatively untroubled.
Probably similar to the one you were using Chez, just a fair bit smaller.
A lot of people call them Oxford welders, thats a brand name.
Duty cycle will be very high, and build quality is very heavy. Can be used as a basis for a TIG setup with the addition of a box of tricks. |
I was watching some Tig welding today at Training2000 as I have been on a turning course all week and made some components for work, which needed welding. Tig is very impressive |
You didnt get a play on the TIG then? Its a joy to do Tig welding, most of the time. _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |

Silverline? lucky you will only need to use it rarely
I bought an RS Components long reach PZ2 driver in 1988 (an essential tool for me then) and still use it to this day _________________ Don't forget to vote in the "Member Location" poll in the Lounge

Last tool ( of any note ) that I bought was a De Walt DC935 14.4v Cordless XRP combi. Given that I had already 5 batteries and the fact that it was brand new in a brand new box with 2 recond batteries and a new charger for £79 I snaffled it up a bit quick.
I got a 10m Stanley powerlock tape a couple of weeks back becaus some little urchin stole my usual one ( I get very fond of a tape measure and hate to buy new, even if they are identical ) |

Digital verniers save loads of time.
I use mine loads, to check thickness, measuring folds, setting machines, checking drill bit sizes, holes sizes... Also handy to convert mm to decimal inces.
Mine must be 7 or 8 years old, a Mitutoyo one, cost about £50 iirc. Free fridge magnet, free calendar, free bottle of plonk _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |

Got a set of drifts the other day.
For thoose that dont know, they are a long slow taper punch, that you knock through holes in steelwork to line them up. And in some cases, beat them through a misaligned hole to open it up a bit to get the bolt through. _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |
