Hello all!

I hope you can give me some advice...

Please have a look at the below floor plan:
Red is were i need to knock through the wall
Yellow are doors
Blue is where i need to put up a new stud wall.

I carefully checked the wall in red and it is on the top floor, not load bearing and not structural.
So i went ahead and knocked throught Boxing

However now i'm not sure how to make the wall good again so it looks nice...
On the left side the wall was linked to the other wall in an L shape.
As you can see from the pictures they were linked.
How do i make this smoth the best? Do i take out the concret blocks completely and fill it with something?
Also soemthing i didn't think of before...
Do i need to stabelize the wall to the left? it is red brick and i think that one could be load bearing from the roof...
However it is connected with a Lintel on both sides to the other walls.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!
Michael

Is this going to be a door? A door frame or just an opening frame will give you the cover over the areas in question. Screw some blocks into the opening to level and centre the frame in the opening. You can then look to fill this out with some plasterboard between the wall to meet the frame. The door frame will provide some stability by tying it all together.

Hope this helps

It is going to be the begin of a Hallway.
If you look at the first picture you can see the hallway to the left.
The new Hallway should be just next to it.

I thought about a door frame, but because i also need to make a bit of stud wall on the right hand side i thought it is not the best idea.

It looks like you should be able to
Dot & Dab plasterboard onto it and then skim it.

Take a look at dot and dab page and these pages as they may give you some ideas-

Ok, thanks i think that will work. Smile

What i'm still unsure about is how to proceed with the leftover pieces of the concrete blocks.
As you can see in the 3rd picture (and the following) there are pieces of the concrete blocks between the bricks.

Should i remove them totally and fill the gaps with something else?
Or should i just try to cut them back as clean as possible and put plasterboard over it? scratch

I'd cut them back and then patch up wit mortar and then Dot & Dab over the top, then add angle beads and then I'd give it a coat of plaster- plaster skimming
