Knipex, one of the best makers of pliers and cutters imo.

Use the longnose, sidecutters, combi and cobras.
All of them have great grip on the jaws, And they seem to easily cope with cutting tasks without damaging the edges.
The cobras have a nice locking button to prevent them slipping on larger things.

Yep got to agree with you there , all my pliers/cutters and grips are knipex. nice red and yellow 1000v handles. As for screwdrivers , got to be irazola , which are apparently a subsidiary of bahco now .

Ive got knipex pliers, and some 45 degree offset long nose jobbys, great for retreiving lost components in tight spots.

very high quaility, bit pricy at £25!

seems to be a favourite with sparks then.

i too only use Knipex for side cutters and pliers. used them for the last 24 years as far as i can remember.

i have used some cheaper ones before and found them to be "wanting" in the quality area.
knipex stay sharp no matter what it seems.

well, the knipex pipeslice is ok but i think the rothenburg one is better because it can cut 22mm and 3/4" where he knipex does not cut the 3/4"

the nice red and yellow 1000v handles grips are not made by knipex i dont think, seen the same grips in usa with stanley on them for $10(about £6 at the time) so i am guess there is a random company making them and selling them on to other companys

Hi mehran, you are getting confused, the pipeslices are made by KOPEX and the grips are definiteley made by knipex and they do not make grips or tools for anyone else aprt from snap on stanley and draper so some with similiar handles in red and yellow, bu there is only one knipex

true true, coincidentaly kopex make flexible conduit for the electrical industry , so god knows where they thought of the pipeslice from LoL

Yes use Knipex srewdrivers also have the knipex vde cable shears cost £39.99 but rarely use them as i have found the CK 25mm cable cutters cut much better

Knipex dont make screwdrivers meterman, draper tools do, but knipex is only a part of the company, most dra[per own brand stuff is poo

Sparkydude!!! Draper dont own or make Knipex they just supply them, or at least that what Wera tells me.....Knipex is Knipex. Also they are a German company and the Knipex factory is next door to the Wera factory, if anyone doesnt know Wera they are the Knipex of screwdrivers.....In Germany Wera and Knipex have teamed up to produce a tool kit with Knipex snips etc and Wera screwdrivers, I am told by the Wera Rep that these will be introduced to the UK once details have been settled between the two companies.

Have some Knipex Screwdrivers, are expensive but worth it, although hard to find (found some on ebay).also look at this link.
