Just thought I would update this thread ... started to do my floor today and I bought the saw recommended below by Carhartt Kid in readyness.

It is absolutely superb - It goes through the laminate like butter. I was going to use a mitre power saw to cut the planks to length for ease, but with this saw, it takes just 10 seconds to slice through it. It is just as good for doing a trim right down a full length.

Highly recommended Thumbright

I use a Bahco Laminator hand saw for all laminate now. Cuts super fast

BAHCO Superior Hard Point Laminator Handsaw
20" (508mm). Thick blade makes for stable, straight cuts through laminate flooring and improved cross and rip cutting. Excellent for cutting wet timber. Fine cut. 11tpi.

* XT Hardpoint Teeth
* Triple-Ground
* Ergonomic Bi-Component Handle
* Low Friction Powder Coating

About £11 from screwthicks or beancue!!

I have a small Bacho saw in my toolbox and it is really handy and only cost about £3

It's a bit bent at the end though from when my friend used it Confused
