Hi, we have recently had a new kitchen fitted, it's a old gottage with stone walls, the walls were not straight so the work surfaces have a large gap between the worktop and the wall, I would like to tile how would I need to do this? Also how do I stop items falling down the gap? Thank you

It is usual to line the walls to get them straight and plumb before fitting the units. This can be either battened out or dot and dabbed plasterboard onto the walls but it does depend on whether there is room to do this and if the units run will still work out properly.

In this instance you may wish to consider lining just the bits of wall that will be tiled which should cover the gaps and give a nice surface for tiling. Some pics might help. :thumbright:
