Hi - The time has come for some new Kitchen appliances. Fridge Freezer, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer. Any brands to avoid? Any recommendations?
I have a work colleague who sells Baumatic - never heard of them but are they any good?

Miele if you can raise the dosh -- but only if you can get 5 or 10 year parts and labour warranty free. Excellent machines, long design life, well constructed -- but parts very expensive and not generally available through third party suppliers.

If you come down to the Bosch/Siemens etc. appliances the quality isn't as high but they're reasonably well made and parts are readily available at reasonable prices from Bosch.

A couple of weeks ago we bought a 'NEFF' oven (made by BOSCH) and Ms Gadget is well impressed with it!

We have only just moved into new build house with built a built in electric AEG electrolux oven and grill oven, and my mum keeps burning her arm on the door when using the top oven/grill, wen we went to look at the fridge freezer she saw a I think it might have been neff one where the door slides in wen you open it and she wants that. I like the current oven as it has several settings for the top oven and the bottom oven has an assisted defrost function but cant work out how it works :dunno:
