I will start at the beginning. We had a new Kitchen installed about 5yrs
ago but at times the sink would start to smell, until I eventually realised that
the waste outlet was above the trap.
I then lowered the waste outlet pipe to below the trap level, and this cured the smell.However the sink now gurgles whenever water is flushed
down the waste,and is really noisy when the dishwasher drains.(spigot on trap)
I have fitted an air admitance valve according to information from this
forum, just after the trap, but it has made no difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.javascript:emoticon(':-)')

spigot traps normally gurgle a little as the dishwasher is emptying.

where have you fitted the AAV in relation to the trap?

a pic may help us.
