Seems i'm bombarding the forum with dumb questions today and I appologise Embarassed

The Kerf is the width of the saw cut, and the Kerf plate is a gap that the blade fits between on the base of a saw

Reading through the instructions of my mitre saw theres a few things I don't really understand?

what is the importance of an adjusted kerf plate?

Says never use the saw without the kerf, what would happen if I did?

also says if worn replace, how would it wear if the blade does not touch it?

Be gentle Smile
