Hi everyone,
I've had my skirting. dado rail and pipes boxed in at last!
Just a couple of questions to ask: the skirting is pre-primed MDF, do I finely rub down and then gloss? Do I undercoat first?
The wood used to box in the pipes is either plywood or chipboard (I let him decide what to use, I was at work and I could'nt ask him cos he was going on holiday that evening before I got home).
What is the procedure for painting either of these please?
Thanks in advance. |

chipboard will soak the paint up and may even blow it...so hope its ply and as far i as know pre primed should need no undercoat or rubdown but a painter may best know . _________________ JACK OF ALL MASTER OF NONE........ WILL THE WORLD EVER KNOW HOW VAST IT IS? |

Plywood will need at least 1 Primer, undercoat and gloss
Primed MDF will need undercoat and gloss
If your going to use satinwood, use 2 coats of satinwood and miss out the
undercoat
Dont be tempted to use one coat products as there poo _________________ Tony Tiger |
