Hello.
We have black mold on the ceilings near the outside wall in all of our upstairs rooms, in the two bedrooms at the front of the house there is also some damp on walls.
We did have condensation inside the panes of one window but have had new panes put in and have no condensation now. we get condensation inside one bedroom window sometimes too.
We recently had the chimney inspected and the previous owner blocked the chimney with no vent. The chimney sweep said we 'just need to knock it through from the roof'.
We eventually want to get a wood stove put in but cant afford that yet so haven't got around to unblocking the chimney yet.
Do you think it would help with the damp?
Or does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks :-) , Sarah

read the link

you need to cook bathe and shower with extraction on and doors shut
do not dry washing on radiator or in un-vented bathrooms

check the attic and make sure there is through ventilation [roof vents or gaps around the eaves ]
