Hi, I am a new one looking for some help.
I am buying a town house in Cardiff built 100 years ago.
There are some cracks on the ceiling plaster in all the three bedrooms in first floor. I am not sure if there is any damp in these rooms. If damp does exist, is it serious? or is the damp caused by rain penetration from the roof covering? All the window and door are single glaze. Thank you very much.

Water has definitely been getting in at one time.

As per your other post, I would ask next door if they have a leaky roof problem.

Thanks, the vender said there was once a defective secret gutter under the roof joining the two properties. The problem has been fixed in 2002. But it looks the damp is in every bedroom on first floor.
