what a rebel. you do know you can download from anywhere and transfer it over. anyway i dont download tunes. i like to buy a cd and at least have something for my money. i only did it once and didnt like the fact i didnt have a product.
if people used itunes they would realise it is the most user friendly thing to use at the moment.
people that argue against it whilst never trying it are the same gimps that knock automatic cars without trying them.
me? im a gimp. i knocked ipods and auto cars at least once in my life.
i now have both and wouldnt be without them.

right. can you see the box?

there will be a piece of tape holding the flap closed. if you can ask mrs o to peel it off.

when you have completed that step we will go through how to get it out of the box! Thumbright

been going through my cds today sticking them on itunes to transfer to the ipod and i have a question:

as i understand it, when you synchronise the ipod with the puter, it directly copies everything from the computer to the ipod. so if you have deleted something from the computer, it will delete it from the ipod when it synchronises - is this correct?

If so, i have an 80gb ipod that will only ever have 10gb of music on it, as i only have 10gb of space on the hard drive of my laptop - is this right? if so, is it possible to get round it?

I would recommend you gettting an 80Gb ipod because you can pretty much get your entire album collection and then some. Ipod can also be taken anywhere and there are different variety of accessories you can use.

Cheaper mp3 players do the jobs, but they do not have the quality of ipods. Plus, cheaper mp3 players do not hold as much memory as an ipod. If you're looking to start a music library, and ability to use a mp3 player almost in any form or fashion, I would go with the ipod.
