Recently I have had problems loading IE. I think this has coincided with me messing about with the registry in an attempt to get my PC to recognise my digital camcorder but unfortunately neither that nor my IE is now working.

Basically IE hangs for ages before eventually returning a very non-descript error message asking if i'd like to send a report to Microsoft.

Fortunately I have Safari loaded and can therefore still access the internet but I'd got quite used to IE and would like to have it back.

Help

There will probably be a more descriptive error in the event logs.

Right click on My computer -> Manage -> Event Viewer -> Application.

Have a look and see if there is anything there related to the IE crash. If there is click on the two paper icons on the right hand side just below the down arrow which will take a copy of the whole event message (including event ID's) and paste it here please.
