Hi all

I appreciate our plumber should be able to answer this but this is to help us in thinking about a kitchen layout.

Is it OK to have two fully integrated appliances, a washer/dryer and dishwasher, side by side in a fitted kitchen, without anything separating them. From looking at the dimensions of these, especially the W/D, it looks like it will be impossible to have the waste pipe behind them, so is standard practice to have the plumbing behind an adjacent cupboard?

Thanks.

Ian

Do you have to have integrated?
From my experience they look great, work fine and all round good egg................
..............until it fails. Our integrated freezer has failed we cant even use it as a cupboard, as its integrated it will cost more to fix than a new freezer. Same with washing machines, they are expensive to repair and often parts have to be ordered.

in conclusion: Look nice + cost too much = waste of money.

Totally agree. We're trying to get the house as attractive as we can to sell it. There's no utility room and the stand alone washer/dryer sticks out (literally) like a sore thumb.
