Hi All,

Just want to clarify if this satisfy's Building Reg's for insulating my roof rafters. Right the gap inbetween the rafters is 70mm I was going to put 50mm kingspan in flush with the rafters leaving a 20mm gap for air flow. I was then going to get foil back pasterboard over the rafters and wondered if this sounds ok as i'm going back and forth and trying to get an answer from my local authority is proving a bit of a nightmare.

Might be wise to check with bco, we had leave 50mm air gap and fit insulated plasterboards, on the last job we done.
Some Councils do differ but always better to clarify, rather than have to rip it back down.

Yeah funny thing I contacted my local authoirty who just kept pointing me to planning portal.co.uk which is ok however when it comes to direct answers for things like what insulation is required etc it is about as clear as mud. :dunno:

Hi I'm looking to do the same sort of thing in my loft,
Insulating between the rafters, but I have no felt, it's just an open
Loft, all tiles are visible from inside. Can I do the same as what was stated above and leave a gap between the tiles and the insulation?
Thanks Aaron.
