[Hi I am new to the forums.
I would like to have a second toilet installed downstairs in my new house.
I have an internal soilstack located at the back of the house.
The new toilet will be installed at the front of the house.
I do not have a manhole cover in my back garden I have a few questions I need answers to.
1. How do I find out where the drain runs?
2. Do the local council/water authority have to be made aware of my plans?
3.Any idea's how much this all might cost?
4.Will this need a professional to do the job as my Dad can turn his hand to anything.
Thanks _________________ Thanks Chezzygirl |

1. You need to get the plans to your house, or find all the inspection pits and make a best guess
2. Yes building control will need to be informed
3. No, but more than you think
4. Its not difficult but your drains may be very deep and it could be a lot of work.
Have you considered a saniflow, you can pump the waste a long way probably from the front of the house to the back and do it in 22mm copper or 32mm solvent weld waste pipe _________________ Decking |
