Hi,

I've got a Worcester 24CDi combi boiler which currently has no thermostat or timer. The boiler is discontinued with literature here http://www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/homeowner/literature/discontinued-boiler-literature/discontinued-gas-boiler-literature/24cdi-bf-discontinued-march-2005-literature. The Worcester thermostat is around £220 so not keen to spend that much.

I have purchased the Celect thermostat http://www.thermsaver.co.uk/heating_controls/thermsave_lcd-rf-3_wireless_thermostat.htmloff eBay as it was said to work with Worcester boilers. I've been a little naive/stupid and took the sellers word for it and didn't think that Worcester may have actually changed the circuitry on their boilers. The literature only shows how to connect a Worcester therm which involves attaching something to the circuit board.

Anyway, on the boiler I have one dial which turns the central heating on and off. I want this to be controlled by a timer so that I can come home to a warm house. Now as far as I'm concerned I need to intercept the signal from this dial, take it via the thermostat switch which then controls the heating. I just can't find any circuitry instructions to do this.

I'm not a dunce around the house and can actually do some DIY so I'd like to do this myself.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Lee

The Thermsaver would be compatible with the 24CDi. But it must be wired as per the instructions.

Appears to be quite more difficult than I thought it would due to not having the wiring diagram of the boiler (no idea what wire is for which) so I guess I'll get someone in
