I have a free standing electric cooker But have just purchased a single oven and ceramic hob I know that the oven will plug into a 13amp socket thats no problem. Can I use my existing grey cooker cable that runs from the cooker box on the wall to connect to the ceramic hob the hob has a cable attatched already do I need to connect them together with a 30 amp junction box terminal?

use the cable that comes with the hob and wire it into cooker box
