I need to get this and would like to know, what mite be a good company to go to.
Had a look at quite a few and they all seem the same apart from what you have to pay monthly, and can't really find any reviews with peoples experiences with them.
So I'm asking who mite be good and who to avoid with your experiences. I need Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover.
Any help would be great, Thanks

Hi Doomed - can't comment on companies to use or avoid as fortunately never needed to use them, but I can give you an idea of how much I pay myself if that helps?

All these are per month:

Accident Insurance: £5.60 for £500,000 cover (covers death plus various percentages depending on what gets chopped off  - 20% of cover if you lose a big toe, that kind of thing)
Sickness Insurance: £57 for £40,000 pa sick pay
Critical Illness Insurance: £15 for £75,000 (covers stuff like cancer, heart attacks, etc)
Pricate Medical Insurance: £70 for self and Mrs H.

Not got any umemployment cover (reaching out to touch wood  ) - this one is quite a tricky area - seems to be a lot of companies offering a service but failing to deliver when called on :angryfire:

There is likely to be a discussion about this kind of thing on the MSE website

There are so many get out clauses in this type of insurance that it is not worth having IMHO.

Insurance companies will do anything to get out of paying if they can!

Thats the problem, I cant take the risk and not have it, then things go wrong.
I hate insurance, its so easy for them to take your money, but when its time for you to collect, mission impossible seems easyer. ::b

FWIW, I would agree on the unemployment insurance - the payout criteria and amounts are not worth the premiums.
Accident insurance is another matter really - far more clearcut.

Stick with good insurance companies and they will not welch on the deals though - I had household contents insurance with Nationwide and under that policy they paid out for a damaged Helmet and Motorbike Leathers when I had a prang, plus barrisitor costs in an employment tribunal.

Maybe I worry too much, but I tend to have lots of insurance  - the list I put up was only some of it! Prob pay over £1k a month into insurance and pensions  (must be my age :cb )
