| just been playing with my ryobi impact driver and im impressed with it, i own a hitachi 18v lith-ion combi drill and IMO the hitachi has the power putting in 3" no 8 wood screws in to cls with no pilot but this impact driver is very good for the money. |

| It must be a national wide offer. I purchased mine from a B&Q store in Glasgow. |

Went into Nottingham B&Q today and no sign of the offer anywhere. Just the impact driver by itself for £69.99.
The only brands I could see on offer were Bosch and McAlister.
Perhaps certain things sell better in certain areas.
Is there anybody on the forum who works for B&Q who can explain? |

people who work in b&q struggle usually struggle with thinking and breathing at the same time, let alone using a computer |

My local BnQ no longer has the power tools in one section, they are spread around the store.
They have been flogging the Ryobi at 25% discount and less for 2 or 3 months now so it may be that they have sold all there stock now. |

| skiking My B&Q is like that but it's the customers that spread everything around the store after they've opened the boxes and taken the bits they want. |

Hi. I'm new to this forum.
I've been thinking about buying the MacAlister Impact driver. Does anyone on here know anything about it? (If it is any good or not)
I have noticed that the Macalister one has the most torque for the money - 176 Nm of torque (the others have around 100 Nm up to about 135 Nm) + it comes with a square socket end on it, hinting that it is intended for bolts and therefore strong enough to do up bolts (I want one for doing up bolts at work), whereas the others come with the screwdriver end, hinting that they are mainly for screwdriving (which I think is easier to screw in than bolts).
Thanks for any advice |

What sort of bolts do you want to use it on Trojanhorse?
If its going to get serious use on larger bolts, its worth buying a dearer one.
The 18v Hitachi we have at work kicks out over 220nm, winds up m16 bolts tight. Good for its size. Around £250.
But the more serious one, is a snap on one £500+, thats got an output of 470nm for its 18v Does M24s up tight _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |
