Hi Guys and girls,

I have an Ideal Icos HE12 boiler, that runs my hot water (via unvented system), and central heating. We went away for a few days and last night came home, and switched the heating on, the boiler fired up fine, and we have hot water, but I by mistake set the control unit onto "all day" and woke up this morning to an absolute sauna. I have switched off the central heating and hot water at the control (a drayton tempus seven) but the boiler refuses to stop. I have turned down the thermostat in the lounge to minimum but this has made no difference. The only way I can stop the boiler from firing is by manually switching off the power. Boilers aren't really my forte, I'm more of a disabled/level access shower guy and would really appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance !!!

Sounds like an MV has stuck in the open position.

More info, please on the controls, motorized valves (type) etc

maybe a pic showing the pump & fittings around the cylinder.
