Bought some outdoor xmas lights last week and been trying to think how I can attach them to the over hang on the front of our house, I don't want to punture it and let any gases out if there is any in it(insulation type gases) or allow water and cold to get in the house via the bays as this makes the roof of the bays. And I have come up with nothing, I havn't got a clue what I should do. You guys got any ideas of what I can do, cheers

What material is the roof covering.
On the front drip trim there is a small void and I can see a fixing, if there are several of these get some cable ties and fit the lights to them or thread some strong string through them, there wont be much weight on them.

Feels abit plastic-ey but I wouldn't have thought it would be though, some of these things decieve me as I thought the front was wood but when we had the guy come to fit the floor he said it's some kind of new material where it's wood with concrete or something.
