I work a lot with stone and slate. My boots get abuse from all directions. My current pair are holding up well after 10 months and look good for a few more. I would expect a pair of boots to last me at least 6 months but if it's a hard winter and they are in the wet for week after week then I can't complain if they fall apart sooner.
If I was working indoors, I would want to get a few years from a pair of boots.

Ive had some boots now for 7 year's. A loverly pair of red Christian Diors mmmmmmm. They have lasted 7 years as Ive never worn them lol. Still tagged and bagged. He keeps telling me to Ebay all my boxed unworn shoes but my excuse now is Isabella will want them for dressing up games and you cant deprive your daughter now can you? No - so the shoes stay!

How long do my boots last?

Until Mrs Stoday refuses to tolerate them in the house because of the fetid smell.

I find its the toes that wear, don't bother with steel toecaps now as they didn't last any longer. The best so far was an old pair of Doc Martens but I only got about 9 months out of them before my socks were showing.

Nowadays just get cheapo trainers and change them every couple of months, got a pair of rig boots for outdoors, but do so little outdoor work they are holding up OK for now.
