(I previoulsy posted this in the wrong forum - D'oh)

Hi all,

I have recently plastered a small internal wall with two coats of render, including waterproofer, then plastered with two coats of multi finish. A few questions about this:

1. I PVA'd the render before plastering, was this correct?

2. I plastered the rendered wall over a week after it was rendered, is this too long and/or is there a time limit on who long you should wait before plastering?

The reason for these questions is that i found it difficult to plaster as it was drying alot faster than normal and i was struggling - i'm no plasterer as you can imagine!

Sounds fine, just have to give the render a good soaking, I usually use a roller, with just water to stop it taking to quickly.

You may have been applying the skim coat to thin.

Dont soak it to much though :thumbleft:
