Hi, I'v put in a 3 gang 2 way light switch, so that I can wire up a porch light. I'v already wired in the hall and landing light and they both work, but am having problems getting the porch light to work it has a three wire cable Brown, Blue, and yellow/green. I wired the blue wire to L1 and the brown to the com in the spare gang and there is no power going to the porch light, I'v tried looping a wire from the com to the main live wire, and this didn't work also tried linking all coms on the gang and this also didnt work after doing these I tried the hall and landing lights and they still worked can someone please explain where I'm going wrong :-$

You need a neutral fed to the outdoor light... You are very unlikely to have one at the switch...

If you are lucky, then all your wiring will be ron in conduit (Unlikely) in which case, you can just run a Neutral from the ceiling rose to the switch., and from there to the light..

Otherwise you'll need to be chasing out walls to run the neutral..
