Hey
Im making furniture out of galvanized water pipe, therefore its important that the pipe looks good.
I order it in length of 6 meters. The problem is that the pipe is dirty when i recieve them. So i wash them with water mixed with alot of diswashing soap.
It cleans the most of the dirt of, but there are still a few black spots here and there, which are almost impossible to remove. How do i get rid of those?

Thanks alot

It's the nature of the material, a finish designed for a purpose other than asthetics.
The dark patches are probably minor damage to the coating, which is self healing to an extent for corrosion purposes.

You might be able to disguise them by using some cold galvasing spray, it's designed to repair damage to the coating but can look like spay paint. A light spray promptly rubbed over might help rub the spray into the scratches without looking like it's been sprayed.
