I've been searching forever for this particular model, but can't find any information. It's attached to an internal communal door of 4 flats, but its latching action is very aggressive. The irony that there isn't actually a latch to overcome, it just needs to soft close.

I was able to adjust the one on my floor since it's a different model and found some information on it, but not for the Brtion 1004.

Does anybody know for sure which screw, bolt, nut etc... needs to be adjusted so we can change the final closing speed? I don't want to just prod and poke in case I make it worse (it's not the door on my floor) and the management company are next to useless so I haven't bothered asking them (they already messed up the closing action on the main front door due to fitting a door latch that's too wide, so they've had to let the door close at full speed to overcome it :angryfire: it's very noisy).

I've attached pictures of each side and the top (though the top one isn't too good as it's difficult to get that high).

I can see nothing in your pics that I recognise as an adjuster, and I too can't find any info on a 1004.

It’s the black screw in the pic does the latch and closing speeds, however if this is a door in a block of flats I would suggest you get the maintenance company to do it , if the door isn’t working properly and you mess with it and it still doesn’t work and something happens you could be in bother, looks like a fire door to me
