i joined about 5 years ago too. from what i can remember i was searching for some info and this forum came up with answers through Google.

as i had spent a lot of time running my own community gaming forums in the past i wasn't adverse to using one, truth be told i enjoy it. so i decided that if somebody was willing and able to give me the answers i required i was sure i could also help somebody else and subsequently joined and have been here ever since.

i have been on other similar types of forums but did not like the approach a lot of them seem to use by allowing anything to be posted and arguments to take over posts . this forum seemed to be polite and answer a question without insulting the poster so i have stayed. got to know Chez the site owner and many more on here. i enjoy it still and see myself being here for years to come.

BA, mine was a Google search and that is not listed so i can't tick a box. also, what is a "WED" search?

Recommendation for me...

I was briefly on another DIY forum and some idiot, who's well known for it, was giving me a hard time. A kind soul dropped me a private message suggesting this place was much nicer...and it is

IIRC it was Scruff who got me on here because of a local who had problems with a boiler installation/installer local to me.

Since working there I now realise she is the sort of person to whom everything in life is a problem ::b :cussing:
