Recommendation for me...

I was briefly on another DIY forum and some idiot, who's well known for it, was giving me a hard time. A kind soul dropped me a private message suggesting this place was much nicer...and it is

I was an another one and had a very similar experience with a well known penis.

Now there's a coincidence

I started at Screwfix Forum back in 2003. As SF was being populated by idiots there was a division between regulars on there some of whom went to Ask the Trades and others (me) who went to Trusted Tradesmen. Birds of a feather flock together. TT closed a couple of years ago and another forum (banned to mention here) was formed as home to the old guard. I have been a member here for some years as well and joined because Chez used to be on TT in the old days and I thought I would support UHM as well. UHM is affectionately known as Niceland on TT.

I was walking down the street shoving a stolen shopping trolly and wearing a traffic cone for a hat. The police saw me and I started to run. Then I heard a voice that said "hide here"

I was looking for forums to post in as a way of getting links to my website. ::b

Little did I know that I would find somewhere welcoming where I don't have to pretend to be a bloke to be taken seriously, where everyone is respectful, and where I'd learn so much! :huray:

Been here FOUR years now. I'm not happy, as I actually thought I had been here for FIVE years

Found the site through google. I had never been intrested in visiting or joining sites. But when I found this one, I got hooked. My missus is not impressed though.

''all you do is go on that forum'' she constantly screams at me

I think I just googled DIY forum and gave this a go. A friend of mine is on DIY not and doesn't think much of it so I avoided that one!
