A few days ago our washing machine came up with the error "E15 - Check outlet pipe". So I checked the outlet pipe and everything seemed fine but the problem persisted. So I took the back off the washing machine, removed the clips keeping the rubber boot in place and found 2 metal rods and some plastic thats found in work shirts to keep the collars rigid...oh and also a button and a five pence piece lol

But the problem still occured when selecting a normal wash. I'v even resorted to removing the outlet pipe from under the sink to a bowl incase the other pipes are causing the issue but still no joy.

What I then did was finally read the manual and it says on there about a 'Rinse Hold' feature. So I selected this and water filled up and then it expelled from the system - at last! Then some garbeled text came on the digital display and it came up with an error code of E16 - High Water Level. The thing is, Water was expelling from the drainage. Maybe it was because there was already water in there to begin with? Unsure.

Anyway, as a final test (hope more than anything), I did a normal wash again and this time it got further than it did before. It heated up, it started washing up came 'dry rinse' and water was expelling fine. To be honest I thought it had fixed it and then bizarrely it came up with error code 15 again.

Totally bizarre that it says theres a problem with the outlet pipe when there simply isnt. I know nothing about washing machines but is there an electrical part which dictates if there is a blockage and maybe its giving the machine the wrong signal?

Have you checked and cleaned the filter (a thing accessed from the front, down at the bottom somewhere about the size of your fist?)

It does have a compartment at the front (not a square one but the complete bottom part of the washing machine has a cover) but when I remove this there is nothing behind it. Infact, the metal grill is nailed on :/ Unless there is another way to the Filter?

The review here] says there is no Filter - which sounds good initially but then there's no bleeding way to clean it out :(

Hmm, looks like it may indeed not have one.

While searching to find if it does have one I cam across this for your model...

1.You will need to gain access to the drain pump through the bottom of the Washing machine. Remove the Drain hoses from the pump, clear any debris, change, etc.
(sounds like you have already done this)
If it is clear, or the error continues after clearing, replace the drain pump.
2.If you replace the drain pump and it still won't drain, you will need a new Control Board.

edit
and also this...

try bottom front right hand side is a filter ,...undo ..water will come out so have some towels ready... clean and refit...

Sounds like the pump, perhaps struggling to start, if its had stuff jammed in it, chances are it may have damaged it.

Don't know how it comes by these error codes, perhaps it measures the current the pump is drawing, see it as too much, and throws up a code...? Dunno.....

Generally easy to fit and cheap to buy. I got a pump for our old machine from ebay, next to nothing, and brand new.

Cheers for the replies guys and I went on similar thoughts to what you have. But posting this as a conclusion incase anyone else has the same issue but basically the guy came and he said that on updated models, that error code means the heating element (or the thing which heats up the water - cant remember exact name) is broke. He tried something on it and there was no life. He also replaced a pipe and its now fixed. So basically the manual wasnt very helpful in this regard!
