Hi All,
I have a hotpint washing machine about 6-7yrs old and it was too noisy and i suspect it was the bearing gone, however i managed to take the drum out, but i do not know if i have to take the all of the metal part on the plastic drum cover, as the bearing just fell out, as there were lot of broken pieces.

I do not know if it worth repairng, as there was some rust mark near the motor and the drum shaft, whihc i cleaned.
hI have a different vies, as some people say you need to replace the whole drum or buy a new washing machine.

I would say it is at the end of its serviceable life and your best option is to get a new one. I have found over the years that as soon as you start fixing them a progressive collapse starts and you wish that you had put the money for spares etc into a new one. You can get a good one for £300.
