If someone could please help-

I have an old hotpoint washing machine and now it is extremely noisy and when spinning it makes a terrible noise and vibrates like mad.

When I spin the drum by hand it is making a grinding noise.

Is this easy to fix

Sounds like the bearings to me, depends how old the machine is and how bad they are as far as having it repaired goes, not an easy job to do well unless you have the right tools/experience.
