fitting new bathroom in my house and replacing the old electric shower with a thermastatic mixer shower. I was wondering if it mattered where i tapped into the pipe coming of the top of hot water cylinder to feed hot supply to shower pump, I know that in normal mixer valves there can be fluctations in shower temperature when taps are run else where in the house. I have a back boiler, indirect system,

any help where to take the draw off from would be great

Follow the manufacturers best practice when you get the pump.

Maybe easiest way would be for you to fit a surrey flange on top of cylinder as most pumps require a dedicated feed ,as should be the cold, straight from tank to pump
But as said check mi and fit as per

cheers for that info, but the area where the cylinder is located is really tight above head height, and was wondering if i could t off the hot feed in the loft straight down to the pump, instead of disconnecting the cylinder completely bringing it down and fitting the surrey flange. would t off affect draw offs else were, or am i right in saying that thermastatic mixer showers self regulate when thers a pressure differance, if worst comes to worse i will fit the surrey flange, are they reasonably easy to fit...
cheers

Teeing off up in the loft is a no no. If not surrey flange (which is easy to fit) then it has to be the first tee off out of the cylinder. Best practice see pump manufacturers instructions, maybe take you a little more effort, but worth it in the long run. :-)
