My speakers are not wall mounted and I'm currently running the wires under the carpet. I'm just trying to hide the wires as much as possible.
I'm thinking of mounting the speakers and hiding the wires inside the walls or maybe our ceiling. Has anyone done this before? |

I haven't done this as yet, but I am also considering the same thing.
Actually, I somewhat think it's a bad idea, but my wife would like to do it.
I'm really worried that later we might want to rearrange the room or whatnot, but then that would be rather troublesome if our speakers are mounted.
I wish I could just convince her to hide the wires under the carpet, but that doesn't look likely.
I would like to add an additional question for anyone who has had some experience with this. How much would it cost to move mounted speakers. Better yet, how easy is it to do for yourself? |

my speakers are currently wired at high level. been like that for years m8.
it's never been a problem as most house layouts are the deciding factor of where your TV/sofa etc is situated.
knowing our current setup is about the only way the furniture will fit meant that the speakers on the wall wouldn't be a problem.
however, 3 weeks ago one of the speakers actually died. Kenwood don't make them like they used to and i cannot replace it. so now, after 15 years, i am finally considering removing them. |
