I've repaired some holes in bare plaster, some to 8" across. And in some areas where the plaster had large blisters 1 foot across, I removed it and I will have the wall reskimmed. But, for some walls there are small areas which sound hollow when tapped. These areas are perhaps 2" or so across i.e. small. There aren't many, just a handful mainly on one wall near the base. Should I ignore them, or cut away the plaster and patch with Easifill? It is easy enough to patch, takes me two coats, and some sanding, but I don't want to create work without reason.

If it hasn't fallenn off I'd leave it.

I was going to leave the back bedroom plaster alone, until it fell off the wall with the paper.

The ceiling followed suit in places, so it all came down and I've spent today chucking plasterboard up for the first time ever.

Thanks, I suppose that makes sense. When it bubbles out then there is no choice but a small area is best left. Perhaps it will fall eventually.
