Hey,

Not sure if in the correct forum but here goes. Its a quick one :)

I am going to be installing some down lights in the bathroom.

the packet on the recessed lights advise on drilling a 66mm Diameter hole. I went to BnQ and found 64 mm and 70 mm Bits no in-between, which one should i use and buy as they cost quite a bit for only one bit??

Thanks,

JP

I guess ill be finding my receipt in that case.....

However which size would you recommend to drill with? I am drilling through a plastered ceiling with plasterboard behind.

get the kit Billy Goat links to and use the 65mm cutter, better to be 1mil snug than 4 mjl too large.

I have to say if you have more than just a few holes to drill I would avoid that set like the plague! I bought that very set when I had forgotten my normal adjustable cutter one day. I wish I hadn't bothered!

If you have a number of downlighter to cut then get your self one of these, you can pick them up for around £30 (without the case)

If it's just a few then get a cheap pad saw for around £3
