Hey folks if anyone is interested toolstation is doing the Hive 1 kit for £60 which seems a bargain!

Basically lets you app / wireless control your heating!

I think from a features point of view there isn't much between the two, it's more down to the buttons and asthetics (my friend says he prefers the vers1 as it is more subtle) from what I can see, no doubt the thermostat and connections via wireless will be better and less likely to drop.
This loss of connection is something I had never considered before with this but some people seem to mention that some of the early wireless controllers drop signal and have to be reset. My in-laws have the Hive vers1 in a big old victorian house and the boiler to router wireless connection is a long way through big walls and floors with no issues (if there was any a simple signal booster would fix that).
