Was in B&Q yesterday and spotted this drill in there. It is EXACTLY the same drill that UHM has been giving away as first prize on and off for the last year or so (The hitatchi one with torch and 3 batteries) except it comes without the torch and with 2 lithium ion batteries.
With their 2 day 20% off deal on yesterday and today it cost just £78 and a few pence. A damn good drill for that money. I now have 2 identical drills (1 a competition prize), 2 chargers, 2 Li ion batts, 3 ni cd batts and the torch. All parts interchangeable (as long as I am careful not to charge the li ion batts in the ni cd charger.)
Thats one with a drill bit in and one with a driver bit in when I am dong a job.

These drill kits used to sell for £199 originally.

I'm sure I got them from screwfix for £50 including free delivery.

£78 is still not bad for such a well made piece of kit with 3 batteries though

The £78 was for this drill but with 2 lithium ion batteries.

They do seem to be pretty well made bits of kit.
I would never have bought one origionally but having used 1 for 6 or 9 months I had no hesitation buying a second.

Just checked their pathetically poor website.

After searching for "Hitachi", which found zero results, I managed to find the drill for £98

But it seems you cannot buy it online and can only reserve it to pick it up in store, and then it will be Sunday before you pick it up and the 20% off offer will of finished by then

I can't believe you have to spend £400 to get free delivery from them either

No wonder they are known as B & Poo

Cheers for that,a friend had a hitchia cordless you charged it by plugging the drill in,no seperate battery when they first came out and used it every day for about six years of light use so they must be a good make. Do any of you chaps remember when the cordless drills came out,makita was the main make,very long batteries.what would happen if everyone had to go back to manual drill ,screwdrivers and handsaws,a lot of blisters and sore arms and hands.

I think bq sale 20 % off when you spend 50 pounds on again this weekend.
