Hey guys
I've got a new light fitting that I want to put up in the kitchen, the wires in the house are the old black and red with a brown as shown in the pic.

any ideas how I would put these two together?? I know I will have to take the plastic plate off the ceiling so its just the wires coming out the roof, then screw the metal plate into the ceiling so the light itself can be attached to it but its the wires that is puzzling.

All electrics in the house will be turned off while doing this so don't worry haha

Thanks guys

The black on the right is neutral so blue from new light to this.

Earth is earth.

2 reds in middle are loop, put them in choc bloc or similiar together.

The black on left is switched live from switch. Connect your new brown to this.

Lecky off first.
