Thought i'd better join rather than lurk around the edges, i'm retiring next year from my current job (i'll be 53) and have decided to go down the handyman/gardener route. I enjoy both and have done a lot of work on my last 2 houses and gutted and renovated another, using individual tradesman where needed, i know my limitations. By best mate is a plumber and an elderly client of his asked if he knew anyone that could do some jobs for her so he gave her my details.
Anyway i spent 3 hrs today trimming a hedge, clearing up leaves and generally tidying up her large untidy back garden, i really enjoyed myself and she was chuffed to bits with my work. Going back next week end to do more garden work, jet wash her ice rink of a patio and replace the guttering at the rear of her garage. She also wants me to cut her lawn twice a month when its time along with keeping the garden tidy.

kind regards Ch@ppers
