Hello

I'm in Hythe, in south east Kent. I've been lurking for a while and now, just recently retired, I'm trying to do a self-build extension. There's a lot more to it than I realised, and I suspect I'll be asking some daft questions, so I thought I should introduce myself.

My name is Mark, and my home was built in the early to mid-seventies by a local builder who used it as a "hospital" job. There were a lot of odds and ends (eg all the radiators are slightly different), but we've made changes steadily over the time we've lived here. It's more coherent now, but because my wife & I also foster children, there's not quite enough room for all of us, hence the extension.

I thought retirement would mean I had more time; the best laid plans...

Regards

Mark

Hi,

:welcomeuhm:

Welcome Mark; you've come to the right place to ask lots of DIY questions. Here's a question for starters "do forum members get a discount on strawberries?"

You'll enjoy it here. :thumbleft:

Kind regards, Col.
