Hi Folks,

I'm Matt, Stumbled across this great forum while reading up on plastering.

I guess I'm the typical visitor to this board, I'll have a bash at anything before paying someone to do it, generally get good results and always wanting to learn new skills.

Currently contemplating battling with my stairs and landing after kicking an open can of paint down the stairs but I'll read up a bit more first as the pevious occupant shat Artex everywhere!

All the best,

Matt Thumbright

Hi Matt,

Welcome to UHM.

I like people that are not afraid to have a go themselves Thumbright

Artex can look ok, but is often used to hide bad walls and ceilings etc.

Damn, thats where I was going wrong!

Thank god for insuarance, that's all I can say. Even tho there is an excess of £110 it still saves me a fortune on replacing what was quite frankly a crap carpet in the first place.

(If E-sure are reading this please note that I'm not implying that this was a scam)
